چکیده
Unlike ultraviolet radiation, blue light (380 nm to 500 nm) is non-ionizing representing a potentially safer and more accessible phototherapeutic modality. We investigated the feasibility, tolerability, early efficacy of whole-body for treatment psoriasis vulgaris Grover’s disease in single-arm, prospective, open-label clinical study. A total 11 patients with (mean baseline lesion count 27.4) 9 Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI) 6.1) completed 2-week washout all topical systemic therapies subsequently underwent whole body phototherapy 15 sequential treatments over five weeks 18 minutes using DUSA BLU-U device. Cumulative dosage received was 160 J/cmˆ2. Clinical status assessed by count, PASI, photography before, during (midpoint), after conclusion. In addition, both Dermatology Life Quality (DLQI) 12-item pruritus severity score (ISS) were pre- post-treatment. Wilcoxon signed rank paired t-tests used based on normality significance level p<0.05 (Stata v14.2). For patients, decreased from mean 27.4 (95% CI 9.2-45.6) pre-treatment 5.6 2.5-8.7) post-treatment (p=0.007) ISS 7.8 5.1 3.5-6.8) 0.4- 4.9, p=0.03). there no significant changes or PASI. Neither nor exhibited change DLQI. Patients may benefit therapy as an alternative evidenced decrease ISS. Future randomized trials are needed.
